As some of you may have noticed, we have had our online store down for maintenance for some time now. We have done this for a couple reasons. The main reason for this was due to the quantity of orders and the expected time to process them all. At the point that there was a 2 month wait for any order it was decided to take the store offline till we were caught up on orders. We have been working through the cued orders and are almost done and expect to have the store back online at the beginning of May.
A couple of things to mention, due to the increase in price of ink/toner we have had to increase the cost of the print services we offer. The cost hasn't sky rocketed by any means but one thing you will notice when placing new orders that the prices for prints has increased slightly. Also in an effort to prevent such long wait times, we have limited the number of print types per order. We have set a limit of 24 print service print types per order (allowing for 24 non-foil, 24 foil). With this limit we hope to prevent future long wait times.
We apologize for having such long wait times for the customers that have orders placed, and apologize for any customers that have been waiting to place orders but hope you understand.

To try and help with some of the toxic users that have been causing problems on our cockatrice server we have implemented an email verification system for new user accounts. Moving forward players wishing to register a new account will be required to add an email address to there account. An email will be sent out with in about 10 minutes from the registration time period that users can verify they are who they say they are. If you attempt to register an account and do not receive an email asking you to verify your account start by checking your SPAM folder and if you still do not see it feel free to either contact us or log in as an unregistered user and contact an active moderator who should be able to activate your account.

We have updated the sets.xml file we host to include the most recent set "Born of the Gods". If you are using the oracle tool to update your card database you should now be able to point the tool to the URL path "http://www.woogerworks.com/files/sets.xml" and your card database should update to include the most recent set.
For clients that manually update there card database, you can download an updated card database by following our guide here. As always, with any card database update we recommend removing your previously downloaded card images. Information on how to do that can be found here.

Some of you may have noticed a slight change on our site. We originally threw up a forum when the cockatrice servers user base picked up significantly. It was put up in a quick pinch mainly to allow for the moderation staff an area to centrally communicate and eventually access was allowed to the general public. In doing so it created another database that kept track of usernames. The decision has been made to bring up a replacement forum (Kunena) which integrates with the underlying CMS that this site runs off of allowing for one less user database to manage and to stop using the temporary forum (phpbb3). It also has been decided to not automatically transfer the content of the phpbb3 forums that we hosted into the new forum. We still have the original content and it can be recalled and placed into the new forums if need be. With this decision it will require any user that may have registered an account to re-register an account on the new forum's. We apologize for this inconvenience but feel in the long run this will allow for better user account integration with the various site components we offer (such as the online store, messaging system and possibly future endeavors).

There is a user manual you say?
Many people have come asking many questions that range from "how do I do .... " to "can i setup my own server?" Questions like these can be answered simply by reading the user manual. You can read the user manual now by clicking the "Cockatrice User Manual" link from the downloads menu along the right hand side of our main site or by visiting https://www.dropbox.com/s/s601gxwvbt8nvxq/Usermanual.pdf

We can take care of the server, add on moderators, and do our best to support players, but as much as we can do for the program we cannot guarantee the games you join to be positive experiences. Players have different attitudes that many times do not agree with one another, not all people are as friendly when online compared to how they may act if met for a game in real life. and not all people want you to enjoy the game as much as they want to. One thing we do recommend is to find a good community to join, get to know and play with. This can lead to a much more positive experience. One group we have come to work with is located at http://www.reddit.com/r/Cockatrice/ . They are doing everything they can do create a community of individuals who want nothing more than to play magic, help others, and have an overall good time. We frequent their sub to answer questions and concerns that come up in the program and see how everything is doing and recommend if your looking for a group to get to know, check them out.
